Team Forces is excited to announce that Colonel (Retd) Mark Snape BEng MSc MBA CEng FIMechE has just joined Team Forces as Director of Outreach.
Mark has been a long time supporter of Team Forces from his military career, where he held senior logistic operations positions and was active as a player and administrator in Army level sport, to overseeing a portfolio of sponsorships during his nine year career with Thales. He has now joined Team Forces to work as the Director of Outreach, where his focus will be on engaging with current and future charities and individual benefactors to ensure that the relationship is optimised for all parties, and in supporting Team Forces events.
Mark Snape was commissioned into REME in Dec 1985 and held various appointments at staff and regimental duty across Army Aviation, Light Forces and Armoured Brigades, ran the Land and Joint Domain PMO for the Defence Logistic Transformation Programme, and held senior logistic operations posts in PJHQ and Army HQ (CSS Ops), finishing his Army career in DE&S as Director Land Equipment’s Through Life Support Team Leader. Operational experience includes tours in the Balkans, Iraq and numerous visits to Afghanistan.
Leaving the Army in 2014, Mark joined Thales UK and enjoyed 9 successful years in a range of roles, including Land Key Account Manager and business development and sales capture lead for the Land surface attack business based in Belfast.
A passionate sportsman, Mark represented the Army at hockey, soccer and golf, and has been a keen skier since childhood. Mark has been married to Fiona for more than 30 years and their daughter Laura is an architect working in London.
