Spectacular Result – Music of the Night 2012 raises over £96,000
In July Plymouth Citadel, home of 29th Commando Regiment Royal Artillery, hosted Music of the Night 2012. A cast of near 300 including local performers and servicemen from 29Cdo were supported by bands of the Royal Artillery and the Royal Marine Corps and guest Seth Lakeman. Playing to sell-out audiences of 5,000 almost every night, they wooed the crowd with a musical and fireworks extravaganza. The results are now in and we are delighted to announce that the the event raised just over £96,000 which will be shared amongst the following military and local charities:
- Team Army Sports Foundation
- RNRMC
- 29th Cdo Regt CBA
- SSAFA
- Royal Artillery Charitable Fund
- Army Benevolent Fund
- BLESMA
- Forces Children’s Trust
- Help for Heroes
- Royal British Legion
- Special Olympics Plymouth & District Organisation
- Horizons Plymouth
- Music of the Night Choral Foundation
Team Army would like to say a big congratulations and thank you to everyone involved; from performers to organiser’s. This is a truly spectacular result!
