Team Army are delighted to confirm that Fujitsu, one of the world’s leading ICT companies and supplier to the Ministry of Defence for nearly 50 years, have agreed to be one of their Gold Sponsors.
Fujitsu, who are a strong supporter of the British Armed Forces, will become a headline sponsor of Army Football and Army Sailing, in particular the racing yacht British Soldier. They will also be sponsoring the Combined Services Point to Point team and the Royal Navy Winter Sports Association.
Tim Gibson, Director Defence and National Security at Fujitsu UK & Ireland, said:
“As a long standing technology provider to the Army and MoD we embrace the opportunity to support Army sports. Encouraging participation in sport, as much as giving personnel access to the right technology, is after all another way for the Army to ensure operational effectiveness; through the development of team work, organisational skills and communications. We hope to foster a long-term relationship with the organisation and the teams we are involved with.”
Lamont Kirkland, CEO of Team Army, commented:
‘We are delighted to welcome Fujitsu on board as a Gold sponsor of Team Army. Fujitsu’s sponsorship will be vital in helping the Army’s sporting talent to succeed as well as enabling those wounded or disabled to have access to sport as part of their rehabilitation and recuperation.’
