This year Team Army took twice the number of supporters to the annual Inter Services T20 at Lords. Any lover of cricket will know what it means to be at the Home of Cricket …..and what a fabulous day it was!

The atmosphere in our hospitality box was buzzing and due to several visits from senior Army officers we were at bursting point by the afternoon. Despite the first match between the RAF and the Royal Navy being rained off after 2 overs, there was some fine cricket on display in the latter part of the day.

The second match, Army v Royal Navy was halted due to rain but the Army won by 39 runs using the DL method. The third and final match, Army v RAF, was seen through for a reduced 17 over a side. The Army were too strong with the bat and came back hitting several sixers all over the wicket to win the game by 6 wickets, securing the Army as overall tournament winners for the second year in a row.

Thank you to the teams and our supportive sponsors for making this an enjoyable day of networking and cricket (eventually).
