Team Ethos is delighted to announce that Amey Secure Infrastructure, a critical supplier of facilities services to UK Defence, will be supporting us on our joint mission to create wellbeing through sport and physical activity for our armed forces personnel.
As part of their sponsorship Amey will be Reception Partner for this year’s Women in Defence UK Awards, held annually to celebrate and recognise the achievements of individuals, teams and organisations working in the defence sector.
Amey will also support our ‘good causes’ fund which offers grants to groups and communities wishing to undertake challenging, adventurous activities which will help to improve health, wellbeing and recovery in armed forces personnel, including WIS veterans.
Craig McGilvray, Managing Director for Amey Secure Infrastructure, said: ‘As a business we are continuously looking for ways to make a positive impact. We recognise the sacrifice and commitment military personnel make in helping keep the country safe. An active lifestyle plays a pivotal role in mental wellbeing and is an important part of Amey’s people agenda. By supporting Team Ethos we are showing the gratitude we have for our forces personnel, and helping to support a healthy and motivated military community.’
Maj Gen Lamont Kirkland, CEO Team Ethos/Team Army commented: ‘We are delighted that Amey Secure Infrastructure has joined the team and is committed to giving back to the armed forces community. Their support of activities which help to improve health, wellbeing and recovery will achieve social impact in the armed forces. This is particularly important in these restricted times as keeping active has been shown to vastly improve mental as well as physical health.’

ABOUT TEAM ETHOS / TEAM ARMY
Team Ethos and Team Armyare co-brands of an MoD endorsed programme which helps to fund sport, challenge and adventure in the armed forces community in order to improve health, wellbeing and recovery. We help the best get better.
Sport, challenge and adventure are critical to the morale, motivation and wellbeing of our forces, yet taking part is often expensive and in some cases, beyond the means of our personnel. We conduct fundraising, attract sponsorship and make financial grants to make these activities more accessible. We also increase the opportunity for those who are wounded, injured or sick to take part in sports and activities which enhance their recovery journey. The programme helps defence suppliers raise profile and brand awareness as well as demonstrating social responsibility by visibly giving back to the armed forces community.
The programme is operated by Ethos Fundraising Ltd in collaboration with Team Army Sports Foundation. The brands Team Ethos and Team Army are interchangeable and applicable within the armed forces as appropriate. Since our launch in 2011, we have donated over £8m to the armed forces community.
