On the 17th October 2021 the Brands Hatch racing circuit provided the fitting finale to the hugely popular British Super Bike series; it did not disappoint! The weather stayed dry, the racing was on the ragged edge and each competition taken to the wire as the top spot of each championship was so closely contested and wide open to the very end.
The supporting series to the BSB include the Ducati Trioptions Cup and Superstock 1000 championships in which the True Heroes Racing team compete. The team, led by Phil Spencer, a serving Warrant Officer in the Royal Navy, is a team that provides the opportunity for WIS serving and veterans to enjoy the camaraderie, regain their mojo and compete in the high octane, adrenalin filled, thrills-and-spills world of motorcycle racing! What more could you want?
It was also a chance for some of our motorsport-supporting sponsors to visit and see a little of what goes on in such diverse and different activities they help to support through Team Ethos. With representatives from Qioptiq visiting on Saturday and Carwood on Sunday it was a great close to the season for all to learn and enjoy.
Team Ethos has supported the team for many years and hopes to continue, thanks to our generous supporters. This is amongst other great initiatives involving our petrol-head military community including the Armed Forces Rally Team, the challenges of Fennec Endeavour, Mission Motorsport and other 2 and 4-wheeled endeavours.
Well done Phil and the whole True Heroes Racing team; it was a great weekend, Ben Falla finished a season-best 5th place on the Ducati, sponsors enjoyed it and a good way to close a challenging 2021.
We look forward to the 2022 season and again being alongside the team as it kicks off at Silverstone in April.
