22nd June again saw the Adaptive Shooting Championships take place, hidden away in a little gem of a range at Bisley; the home of national shooting. With a healthy entry, both serving and veteran, it was one of those great events that brought together an eclectic group with an air of warm camaraderie but at the same time intense competition. The day did not disappoint.
The skill on the range was truly inspiring with a fantastic range of weapons, from the newest to the oldest muzzle loading musket. As well as bringing firearms, sights and a wide range of Gucci kit to view, Qioptiq and Heckler & Koch brought both firearms and thermal sights for the enthusiasts to try out; the opportunity to experience both historic and the latest technology.
A great day, thoroughly enjoyed by all from participants and supporters to spectators and sponsors, all creating a great atmosphere. A special thanks to Heckler & Koch and Qioptiq Excelitas Technologies Corp for again providing their generous sponsorship of this championship, helping defray costs to competitors, provide a delicious on-range lunch and refreshments and of course various goody-bags. Their hearts are very much with this championship and its competitors.
