Challenging’ could be the right word to describe conditions early in the week at Woodhall Spa golf club, the home of Golf England and the 2023 inter services golf championships. Wind blowing hard, heavy showers and a fabulous course but full of monster bunkers was a test for anyone. That said, competitors and sponsors were treated to an excellent final day on Thursday with glorious sun and a competition taken to the wire. Not quite the same nail-biter as the Solheim Cup but a very close finish that saw the RAF men and Army women take the top slots after the historic navy double for the 2022 championships.

Sponsors had a great time with the officials and sponsors match played on Wed, the championships dinner in the evening and again a treat in the sunshine playing on Thursday. AM Steve Shell and R Adm Nick Washer led the UKAF Golf officials whilst representatives from Qioptiq (the event headline sponsor), Dell Technologies, AtkinsRealis, Heckler & Koch, Corelight and L3 Harris represented Team Forces.

Thank you Qioptiq for again being the event headline sponsor and thank you all for the support to this event only made possible through sponsorship and enabling the opportunity for our service men and women to compete on such a wonderful, prestigious course.
