Chukkas run out for the Army as Royal Navy snatch polo victory

The annual Rundle Cup polo match between the Army and the Royal Navy took place at Tidworth on Saturday, under lovely weather conditions that helped enhance the day and experience for the thousands that turn out to enjoy the occasion and provide an enthusiastic crowd, all eager to witness this historic and fiercely contested rivalry.

The game itself was a thrilling display of polo, with plenty of action as both teams showcased their exceptional skill and determination. The audience was kept on the edge of their seats, cheering as players maneuvered their horses with precision and flair, making for an unforgettable spectacle whether you knew the rules or not! Somebody had to win, and this year the Royal Navy finally coming out on top.

The day was further enriched by inspirational speeches from two of Team Forces’ beneficiaries: Jon White a wounded officer from war in Afghanistan and now an elite sportsman and Emma Gibb a formidable member of the army’s all-women team set to row the Atlantic this winter. Their stories added a profound sense of purpose and community to the event, reminding everyone of the broader impact of such gatherings.

Fantastic hospitality was enjoyed by the many Team Forces guests, with fine dining, great company all in a beautifully presented marquee enhancing and adding style to the overall experience. The event’s success was significantly bolstered by the support of numerous sponsors.
