Army Triumphs at Inter-Services Netball Championships in Portsmouth
The Inter-Services Netball Championships concluded in style after three days of fierce competition in Portsmouth, home of the Royal Navy. The event, featuring teams from development squads to masters, also showcased an exciting demonstration match between Army and RAF men’s teams.
This year marked the inaugural sponsorship by Palo Alto Networks, enabling the championships to be held at top-tier university facilities. Spectators were treated to high-energy matches, with the Army emerging victorious in the main event. The tournament was made even more special by the presence of the Band of the Royal Marines, adding a ceremonial touch.
The championships ended on a high note with a celebratory party at the iconic Spinnaker Tower, where players and supporters toasted a fantastic tournament. With strong support and outstanding performances across all categories, the event proved a resounding success, cementing its place as a highlight of the inter-services sporting calendar.
