Injured Veteran Service Personnel Compete in Adaptive Championships at Bisley
Bisley, UK – June 19, 2025 — A spirit of camaraderie, resilience, and precision was on full display today as injured Veteran Service personnel gathered at Bisley for a dynamic day of competition at the Adaptive Championships. Hosted at the iconic shooting grounds, the event offered an inclusive and empowering environment for competitors to challenge themselves across a range of disciplines.
Participants were given the opportunity to take part in up to four unique shooting competitions, with this year marking the exciting introduction of the Enfield Match—a new challenge coordinated by members of the London Enfield Rifle Association (LERA). The match provided a historic twist on marksmanship, drawing interest and enthusiasm from many in attendance.
Adding further depth to the day’s experience, the Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain (MLAGB) curated an impressive showcase of historic muzzle-loading firearms. Competitors and their support teams were invited to handle and shoot these remarkable weapons, providing a tangible connection to the roots of modern marksmanship.
The event was made possible thanks to the generous support of Heckler & Koch, and Teledyne Qioptiq, whose contributions ensured a seamless, well-equipped, and rewarding day for all.
Organisers expressed deep admiration for the competitors, stating:
“As always, we are humbled by those in attendance, and inspired by their resilience. Today was a celebration of strength, determination, and the powerful sense of community that unites those who serve.”
The Adaptive Championships continue to be a powerful reminder that, regardless of injury, the passion for sport and the bonds forged through service endure.
