Fantastic news that Ultra Electronics Holding plc has extended their funding support for the COVID Bounceback grants until the end of 2022!
The Trustees of the Team Army Sports Foundation, in association with Ultra created the Bounceback Fund in February 2021 to help Armed Forces groups and communities recover from the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic. Over the last year many people have benefitted from grants, such as Antarctic Quest 21, Nerys Pearce from TeamBrit and our very first recipient Kayak for Heroes on their epic challenge to kayak from Lands End to John O’ Groats. By extending the Bounceback Fund Ultra and Team Forces hope to help many more communities and groups before the end of 2022.
Maj Gen Lamont Kirkland, CEO of Team Forces & Team Army said, ‘Our original Bounceback fund has proved so successful that we are keen to maintain the momentum. We are ready to support challenging and adventurous activities which provide a highly rewarding developmental and transformative experience for those involved. And for our WIS veterans, the activity should help to rebuild lives by allowing them to regain their confidence and zest for life and move beyond their disability.’’
Groups and organisations from the armed forces community are invited to submit bids to receive a grant from this special purpose fund. Specifically, the trustees wish to award grants to groups or organisations which create the opportunity to improve mental and physical wellbeing in armed forces personnel, including WIS veterans, through sport, challenge or adventure during 2022.
