About the Course

Larkhill is one of the best-known point-to-point courses in the south of England, set on Salisbury Plain and offering excellent viewing across the track.

The course is approximately 2½ miles in length, laid over undulating downland grass and is around 80 feet wide, allowing fences to be moved throughout the season to ensure fresh ground for each meeting.

There are 13 fences in total, with five jumped twice in a three-mile race, and two open ditches at Fences 3 and 11. The course is right-handed and provides a fair but testing circuit, with a mix of flat stretches, gentle dips and a final uphill climb.

Larkhill also features several tank crossings, which are carefully maintained and covered with wood shavings for race meetings to soften under-hoof conditions.

We very much look forward to seeing you for a great day of racing.
