Team Forces Foundation Sailing Day
21–22 July 2026 | Hamble Point Marina, Solent
This year, we are delighted to be running a sailing experience in partnership with one of Team Forces’ beneficiary organisations, the Gwennili Trust.
Guests will sail from Hamble and enjoy time on the water in the Solent, one of Europe’s most recognised and popular sailing areas. The exact route will depend on the weather and conditions on the day, but possible destinations include the world-renowned yachting centre of Cowes, the picturesque sailing village of Beaulieu, or the quieter anchorages of Osborne Bay and Stokes Bay.
Guests may choose either to take part for the day sailing day or take part in a more immersive experience staying the night before we sail on board.
Those attending the overnight experience will enjoy a relaxed supper at The Ketch Rigger on arrival before staying on board the yachts overnight. The following day will include sailing in the Solent and a picnic lunch served on board whilst at sea.
Each yacht will have experienced Gwennili Trust volunteer skippers and mates on board, helping guide guests through the experience and offering as much hands-on involvement as participants would like. No sailing experience is required.
Whether guests choose to get involved with the sailing or simply sit back and enjoy the surroundings, the experience offers a wonderful opportunity to unwind, build connections and spend time together in a unique setting on the water.

About the Gwennili Trust
Founded in 1995, the Gwennili Trust is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to providing offshore sailing opportunities for people with disabilities.
Over the years, people of all ages and backgrounds — including serving and retired members of the Armed Forces — have experienced the challenge, enjoyment and sense of freedom that sailing can offer through Gwennili Trust events.
Working alongside partner organisations, the Trust helps make sailing accessible by chartering MCA-coded yachts suitable for a range of mobility needs, including vessels designed for wheelchair access and conventional yachts for more mobile participants.
All sailing events are operated by experienced RYA-certified volunteer skippers and mates, whose support and enthusiasm help create safe, welcoming and rewarding experiences on the water.
The Trust is a member of RYA Sailability and an associate member of the Association of Sail Training Organisations (ASTO). Its sailing programme ranges from day sails in the Solent to longer UK and overseas cruising adventures, training opportunities and participation in race events such as the Round the Island Race.
For this Team Forces Foundation event, the Gwennili Trust is generously providing both the yachts and volunteer crews, helping create an experience built around teamwork, confidence, connection and shared adventure.

Who is this event aimed at?
This event has very much been designed with employee engagement in mind and is suitable for staff from across all areas of your business.
We see it as a valuable opportunity for our sponsors to spend more time with the beneficiaries they support and to experience first-hand the impact of the Team Forces community.
Unlike events focused primarily on formal networking, this sailing experience is intended to be participatory and relaxed — giving guests the opportunity to enjoy a shared challenge, spend quality time together and build stronger connections both on and off the water.
We very much look forward to seeing you for a days sailing
