Team Army has been chosen as the headline charity for one of the West Country’s most popular outdoor musical extravaganzas, Music of the Night, to be held at The Royal Citadel, Plymouth, 16-20 July 2012.

We are delighted to announce that Team Army have been selected as the headline charity for Music of the Night , an enormously popular outdoor spectacular played out at Plymouth’s magnificent Royal Citadel.

Home of 29th Commando Regiment Royal Artillery, they will play host to this musical extravaganza which culminates in a grand firework display over Plymouth Sound.  All profits raised from Music of the Night will be shared between the Team Army Sports Foundation, service charities and a number of local charities.

Music of the Night was first performed in 1992 to commemorate the re-dedication of The Royal Citadel following refurbishment and is hosted biennially as one of the West Country’s major musical events.  Boasting a cast of hundreds including local amateur singers and dancers of all ages alongside the professional musicians of the Royal Artillery and Her Majesty’s Royal Marines and The Military Wives Choir, this year’s event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Commando Gunners.

This week-long event will host a nightly audience of 5,000 people and tickets demand is high with performances selling out well in advance.  Already more than half the tickets have been sold so anyone wishing to attend Music of the Night 2012 should visit Plymouth Pavilions

Anyone interested in being an event sponsor or taking a corporate hospitality package over the course of the  event should contact Gerald Callus on 07427 175 530 or gerald.callus@teamforces.org
