Porcher Industries’ Charlie Exton is competing in the London Marathon in clothing using the company’s newly developed lightweight blast resistant fabric.
Charlie Exton, a defence specialist at Porcher Industries, believes his company’s newly developed next generation blast resistant fabric is so light and comfortable that he plans to run this weekend’s London Marathon in a t-shirt and socks made from the material.
Team Army sponsor, Porcher, plan to utilise their technology in sponsoring army parachuting, sailing and paragliding with the cutting edge, lightweight, super-strong material, in the provision of material to manufacture various sporting canopies and sails. We look forward to seeing the results and in the meantime we hope Charles puts in a blistering (not literally) time in the marathon.
