Team Forces is delighted to announce that Sopra Steria (a European Tech leader recognised for its consulting, digital services and software development), and its joint venture SSCL (a leader in providing business support and resourcing services for the public sector) will be supporting us on our mission to create wellbeing through sport and physical activity for our armed forces personnel.

Sopra Steria and SSCL’s aim is to create a strong partnership with the armed forces as trusted, respected and highly valued institutions with a high emphasis on social purpose. Their support will be a visible demonstration of their Social Value commitments and their portfolio will ensure alignment with their visions to make positive change with a big impact and to deliver better outcomes for UK citizens.

As part of their sponsorship Sopra Steria and SSCL will be supporting Captain Preet Chandi MBE (Polar Preet) on her epic solo trek across Antarctica, as well as a range of other armed forces sports. Sopra Steria and SSCL will also support our ‘good causes fund‘ which offers grants to groups and communities wishing to undertake challenging, adventurous activities which will help to improve health, wellbeing and recovery in armed forces personnel, including WIS veterans.

Maj Gen Lamont Kirkland, CEO Team Ethos/Team Army said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome SSCL and Sopra Steria as our newest Gold members. These are companies that truly live up to their core values and our partnership will deliver significant benefits for the armed forces community. Together, we will help the best to get better.”

Sue-Ellen Wright, Managing Director for Aerospace Defence and Security at Sopra Steria said:  “As Gold Sponsors of Team Forces, we have a unique opportunity to support an amazing community of inspirational individuals within the Armed Forces, enabling them to take part in sport and adventure challenges, that not only enhance their recovery journey, but also inspire others who may have suffered life changing injuries.

We are also looking forward to collaborating with like-minded industry partners, who are part of the Team Forces community, to shape our solutions in a truly collaborative way with those who use our services on the front line.”

SSCL Defence Managing Director Matt Hurley and SSCL Police & Resourcing Services Managing Director David Parsons said:  “We are pleased to be supporting Team Forces as Gold members and admire what the organisation delivers for the armed forces community and also the outreach work its ‘good causes’ activity delivers.

Team Forces is aligned to SSCL’s Social Value strategy where we as a business partner are looking at the ways we can help our clients to deliver on their commitments in meaningful and appropriate ways. Already we have seen for ourselves some of the great work that’s being achieved and we look- forward to playing our part to support Team Forces.”
